Center Expertise GW-CEEE works in partnership with state and local education agencies to help teachers and administrators implement reform at the institutional level and in the classroom. An important part of the Center's role is to support educators in their attempts to respond to the re-authorized Elementary and Secondary Education Act (the No Child Left Behind" Act of 2001), which mandates the use of scientifically based research to improve student achievement.Towards this end, GW-CEEE's efforts often focus on the improvement of student achievement of children who are English language learners, migrant, or impacted by poverty. In order to provide our clients with practical tools to promote continuous school improvement, GW-CEEE maintains staff expertise around five knowledge bases and uses those knowledge bases to move research into practice towards the goal of improving student achivement.
Please access these knowledge bases using the menu to the right.
